I like that Clinton's shown herself to be an obvious policy bulldog. I'm surprised she hasn't been this aggressive in the Senate before now, though I suspect if she remains there, nothing'll stop her from running the joint within a week.

Oh, and as for the diarist, uhm... your smile brightens my day like a beautiful rainbow. How's that?

I like Obama because he had the courage and judgment to oppose the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

I like Hillary because she has the funniest fantasies when she doesn't get enough sleep.

Clinton supporters are loyal to a fault.

I admire Clinton's commitment to children, her ability to handle attacks with grace, her intellect and courage, and the role model she provides in so many ways for young women to pursue lives of meaning with confidence.

I commend the diarist's efforts here.

A second game, which I think might be more difficult but potentially more beneficial, would be to challenge people to write one thing that they wished their candidate had done differently and one thing they would like them to to a better job with in the future.  But I think the diarist was spot on to start with the positive.

I like Obama because he has taken money from lobbists to finance his campaign.

He is a gifted and inspirational politician.  His ability to connect with voters is impressive.

His supporters are passionate and appear willing to go to the mat for him.  That bodes well for us in November.

I admire John McCain's service to this country, but he is the wrong man for the wrong job at the wrong time.  We must do everything we can to ensure that the voters of Arizona do not lose their senior senator.

Oh the media, don't even get me started.  I'm trying to stop swearing.

I like Obama because he doesn't appeal to prejudice to get votes.

Hillary has awakened many women to their political muscle.

1) I do like some of Obama's positions (as articulated during the debates) better than some of Hillary's.  He was also willing to be a little more candid on some things (like raising the wage cap for SS).

I like John Edwards because he had the courage to take on the front runner in the debates.

Hillary's team has done very through opposition research  and has given me every confidence in that the apparent nominee of our party has no skeletons in his closet.

Hillary has reached across the political spectrum and now even Fox and Rush Limbaugh are helping her.

I have to say I admire Clinton's gumption and determination... most people would have quit a long time ago.. seriously.. she's tough

...first on the list would be how much I respect his ability at managing his public relations (since I come from that world, professionally). I say this sincerely and in awe of Obama's skill in that arena.

If we are ever to regain our stature and influence on the world scene, our country must--first and foremost--address a monumental public relations fiasco, globally, exacerbated by an international perception (and, IMHO, reality) of eight years of irresponsible, cowboy-mentality rule run amuck.

If you're going to affect change, you better have some credibility from a public relations standpoint to, indeed, accomplish that. And, for all his lack of foreign policy experience, his election will signify change. Whether there will actually be any significant change if/after he's elected, that remains to be seen.

So, from a superficial standpoint (on the surface at least), Obama's election would create an immediate opportunity for the U.S. to seize the moment to correct our country's foreign policy missteps of the past eight years. Obama understands p.r. He's a genius when it comes to perception building. What will the reality be if (once) we get to that point and beyond? That is my  question. But, I do know--in my heart of hearts and even from a professional standpoint--that Obama definitely has what it takes (maybe moreso than any U.S. politician in my lifetime) to get us to that point. His election would certainly be the most powerful symbolic gesture this country could make to the rest of the world towards putting us on the right path in the eyes of the international community.

Where we go from there becomes my overriding concern (even now), unfortunately.

I love Hillary's song, it's so catchy.

I really like the way Obama inspires young people -- he's brought a lot of new blood into the Democratic party.

Can't say anything about Obama's supporters as a group -- they're just as individually unique as Hillary's supporters.

Hillary is smart.  Super smart.  She's disciplined, and courageous.  She works hard, and always gives her best effort.  She's got a sharp wit.  She's overcome tremendous adversity.  She's amazingly detail oriented, and her preparation is top-notch.  I admire her a great deal.

Hillary's supporters are loyal, tenacious, and unflappable.  They want what's best for the country, and believe that Hillary has the skill, wisdom, and temperament to solve the very difficult problems we face as a nation.  

I like the Clinton's supporters ability to always look on the bright side and never give up no matter how long the odds are against them.

I admire Hillary Clinton's passion on issues that I hadn't even thought about but are very important.  I saw her speak once on the foster care situation in this country, and she demonstrated a depth of knowledge and caring for the folks affected that moved me greatly.

I admire her tenacity, and the dedication she inspires in those that support her.

I admire her committment to public service.  When Bill's 2nd term ended, she could have avoided re-exposing herself a hostile media and rightwing attack machine.  Instead, she ran an impressive race in NY and won a moderately close race.  Six years later, she was so popular the Republicans could offer only token opposition.  

... she's brutally effective as an attack dog.

I admire Hillary for breaking out of the traditional, nearly invisible, role of First Lady. Hillory & Eleanor (sorry Jackie) have always been my favorite First Ladies.

I admire her intellect, strength, & discipline. She has a type of courage that, well, if I was in a squad of soldiers in a war, I'd want her to be my sargeant.

I like that Obama is the most liberal senator in the country.  I am very liberal.  

I like HRC's healthcare plan more than Obama's

Already posted the candidate part. Just want to say thanks to the diarist. This is a great exercise for maintaining internal sanity.

I like Hillary because she is not the type that would attempt to divide the party just to fulfill her personal ambition, as far as I know.

I like Hillary because she was the first woman to have a real shot at the Presidency.  It's why I originally supported her.

There are some HRC supporters who I adore here: zcflint05, sricki, VAAlex, Jeter, and perhaps now you.  :)  They are for the most part non-partisan in their analysis of current events and do not resort to any offensive smears against another candidate.  They are role models for all of us on this blog, including myself.

I like the fact that after 20 years, Obama saw the light and kicked Reverend Wright to the curb.

It would be the same as if I said "I like how Hillary Clinton changed her mind on the Iraq war after voting for it."

Hillary is 60+ years old .. she must have been thinking of running for President for a long long time, even when things weren't conducive to women 20-30 years ago.

To have this vision and work towards it every day of your life takes remarkable guts and determination.

 I can see why it's so hard for her to give up on this race .. she has wanted it all her life and it was almost in her grasp and slipped away. It must suck in a big way to have a dream crushed like that.
